Is the Cessna 208 a light aircraft?

So did the cessna 208 become a light aircraft? I use to be able to fly out of atc controlled airports with the 208 but in the last few week I’ve been given the light aircraft must divert. I’m just checking to see if it has

No, the Cessna 208 is not a light aircraft. The ATC Manual defines light aircraft as the “C172, SR22, XCub, Spitfire Mk VIII, and P38” (4.2.1). Feel free to reach out to your controller to let them know if this happens in the future!
