With so many incredible aircraft in Infinite Flight, I have to say that the A380 is my personal favorite. But I want to hear from you—do you think the A380 is the best aircraft in the sim, or is there another one that stands out?
Why the A380 Stands Out:
• Massive Size & Presence: The largest passenger aircraft ever built, always a sight to see.
• Updated Cockpit & Features: One of the latest reworked aircraft with great realism.
• Smooth Handling: Despite its size, it flies beautifully on long-haul routes.
• Livery Variety: So many iconic liveries, including Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and more.
Of course, every aircraft has its strengths, so I’d love to know—do you agree that the A380 is the best, or do you have another favorite?
Considering it was just added to the sim in February, it is a very new and highly detailed aircraft, so I would consider it one of the best. It took months to complete and required a lot of hard work. As for calling it the best, that depends on personal preference. Some might consider the A380 to be the best, while others might prefer the E175 or Cessna Caravan or MAX 8. It’s all subjective.
Has to be 757. Still the most accurate and detailed aircraft though it’s released 4 years ago. And it has fewer known issues yet to fix which is a big bonus to me
The A380 took a long time to develop, to say it is the best aircraft in the game would be a compliment to the passionate people who put their time and effort into it.
It’s a huge aircraft and personally it’s my favorite to fly but a lot of that has to do with being an A380 fan already. But they did an amazing job with it regardless.
With the recent 737 Max 8, I am jealous of the better sounding engines though. And I still wish the A380 had realistic flap sounds.
In my opinion the trophy should go to the A380.
It’s the first Aircraft to introduce the dynamic roll spoilers and it added the aileron dance. Also the windows of the aircraft are the first one to have that realistic blue/purple glow, which is a very nice addition.
Also the effort and time. Put in this beast made it very realistic.
Second the embraer. The detail is just astonishing as well as the texture detail/sharpness (which in my opinion is very important) Especially on the engines, even the engine inlet is beautifully and realistically done as well as the engine cone where the fuel colour effect is visible.
Third place, the Max, the reason why it isn’t higher is because the textures are not that good in my opinion.
The only real issue about the a380 in IF is because of its size, especially in crosswind landings and after crabbing, when the plane slows down, it tends to ‘lean’ to one side slightly which is pretty strange and affects my landings… I’m unsure if it is on purpose or just for realism, or possibly a bug.
I honestly would rank the 757 higher than the MAX. The 757 has (or had until 24.4) arguably the most realistic engine sounds of any aircraft, as well as the incredible power it’s known for and pretty much perfect modeling. The MAX? It can’t even reach MTOW because the aircraft itself is too light, and it seems to burn much less fuel than it should.
Honorable mention to the F/A-18 as well. It’s not every day you have a military aircraft with that level of detail. And those afterburners are (literally) .
Not the texture at its whole but near the wingbox just above the wing, the white gets blackened and I don’t know why this is. There is no reason for this.
I really like the wear and tear on the liveries on the max, but I don’t the blackened part of the wingbox right above the wings, this gives this aircraft a weird look.
The A380 is a very good looking aircraft, the developers did a great job with it. But personally i dont think its the best. My personal best aircraft is the 77W
I guess MAYBE excluding the BCS3 (KIND OF a joint venture with Bombardier in the beginning it seemed obviously), the A330-200F, and A346… or any and all ‘A3’ get(s) the trophy(-ies)!
In case someone doesn’t know, if you want to add ‘A3*’ as a saved filter on FlightRadar it will show all Airbus aircraft. (Add …, [BCS*]… for the A220-100 and -300.
