I might get a ipad mini 4. I don’t want to spend a lot on a pro but how does the mini 4 work? I would like to know performance wise. Can it run maxed out settings?

It should run really smoothly, as my iPad Mini 2 runs everything set at maximum without lagging. :)

I just bought one a week ago and it works great. I’m mostly using it for controlling but it does great while flying on live with max settings.

An Ipad Mini 4 will run well, IF will run smoothly on it, good purchase. On a side note, this topic isn’t very aviation related, wait until you reach regular and post in #Lounge

I used to have the mini 4. It lagged abit at full settings on everything. But the lag wasn’t that bad.

You could get the Air 2 instead of the Pro. It will run better than the mini and is cheaper than the Pro.

Everthing on Very High, runs smoothly, +60 fps (maybe 120 fps sice it it very smooth)!!

It’s actually really good, it can run with the settings at maximum fairly well. I used to have one before I sold it to get the Pro…
My final opinion is that if you’re going to get the iPad mini for the price, get the 32GB version or you’ll be resetting it every other week.

Yes, the “Other” files accumulate faster than you think, and Infinite Flight can use up to 1.55 GB which is not good if you’re planning to have any other apps on it
If a Mini3 (Wife’s) works, so will the 4.

I have a 16GB iPad Air 2 and I agree but if it has no memory left it won’t affect performance, for the past 2 years I have had 0KB remaining storage and I have had no problems
