Invisible planes at airports as ATC

Hey guys,

since we have some parked planes on airports around the globe I have an issue, especially when doin ATC.
I like the parked planes to give the airports more “life” but on the other side, they are “stealing” memory or performance for real planes to be rendered. For example: I often do EDDF and there are quite a few Lufthansa planes parked actually. I often can’t see planes from tower when they are entering runway 25C or when they approach any runway. They are not there as a 3D model. I see them on the radar, but sometimes it’s better to “look out of the window” for terms of give way conflicts or judge if a go around is needed. Does anyone have this issues as well since 25.1? My settings are on max.

I have this same issue but when doing a flight. I also have noticed the ‘parked’ planes just sit there and have done since the update. It means those stands/gates cannot be used and when trying to do a realistic flight means you cannot park at the correct gate/stand.

Concerning as what happens when the feature is released to everyone?

@schyllberg sorry for the ping, but I additionaly experience repetitive app crash especially in Frankfurt EDDF. As IFATC and as pilot. I already did delete and redownload Infinite Flight… that is pretty annoying as my most used hub :frowning: Specs in first post up there

Have you tried to simply restart your device?
Sounds like you’re having OOM crashes (out of memory) and restarts really help there.

I don’t see that many parked aircraft at EDDF either?

Will try this when landed. Did manage to fly out without another app crash. You mean, that I also can see more planes again after restart?

This depends on distance, amount and if they’re downloaded to your device etc. So it’s hard to give a solid answer to that one :slight_smile:
