Introducing the Next Chapter of Infinite Flight Live

This was a bug. Users aren’t able to park with a start location being present.

Oh good that would have been crazy :face_with_peeking_eye:

Is the Hiring for testing started ??

We haven’t heard anything regarding them starting to add people. We don’t know whether they will, but it’s been radio silent. There’s no timeline for it.

Now this would be something amazing to return to infinite flight with. My only question is if pilots leave their planes parked at gates for long periods of time does this block the ability for casual pilots to spawn there? If so then what is to stop people from abusing these features to troll users by taking up every spawn at an airport?

For example lets say I were to spawn 30 different planes at an airport like LHR and take up an entire terminal. If I left the session and my planes were left there that would mean someone has to move the planes. But what if as they are being moved I added another 30 planes and just left the session again. I am not saying I would ever do that but what is to stop others from doing something like that?

This will likely only be possible at gates that are very low demand (I.e barely used).

This hopefully shouldn’t happen.

But what is to stop someone from doing it tho? Is there like a violation or some kind of ban from infinite flight persistant?

There’s only so many aircraft you’ll be able to have based on what’s been said so far regarding the lifts system - so I would wish them good luck with that endeavour.

So how exactly do they work and how are they regulated? Maybe I am blind but I didn’t see a mention of how lifts are gonna work with this new feature.

No system is perfect - if it becomes a problem (say at a small airport that’s very rarely used - which is probably unlikely in itself) then I imagine they could intervene but we’ll have to see.

I just hope that this is allowed to a small handful of users who actually run VAs and not just any user. I have 10 accounts that I used to run my own fleets based on flights I was doing. Like for example, if I did Texas to London I would do the 4 BA 777 flights, 4 American 777 flights and 2 United 777 flights. Then I could either return with the exact same fleet or go somewhere else like ORD or NYC from LHR but that would mean I would have to do completely different flights with different aircraft. So if I did these flights in persistent live and used a different fleet with each flight how could someone despawn my planes if I had carelessly or intentionally left my aircraft at LHR and what would be the consequence for this kind of disregard of others? Again not saying I would ever do this. But what would stop someone who isn’t me from doing this? Would they loose their lifts? Could they be banned or violated and downgraded from accessing this feature? Would the sim prevent them from starting the next flight until the last planes were returned to a virtual hanger? How will this kind of thing be regulated?

You’re right, someone could do that, but they’d have to pay for every account to use the lifts. And most people who actually have money to spend are not going to be trolls on a mobile flight sim. The logistics just don’t make sense. And I’m sure the staff will appropriately deal with the perpetrator should that situation ever arise.

No but people on this sim do have friends and all it would take is a couple of trolls to pull some kind of stunt like the one I am mentioning which has happened even without this new feature. But with this new feature it could allow for users expand on this kind of trolling. Next thing you know every single slot at LHR and LAX could be blocked by a handful of users who are bored and want to prevent others from enjoying the sim thinking they are being funny when they aren’t.

Better yet if a popular content creator decides to fly to some place like MIA and the creator has a group of haters. These haters in theory could just take up every single slot at MIA as well as every other slot at diversion airports like MCO, FLL, TPA and a few others. What is to stop a group of haters from trolling someone live streaming their flight?

This doesn’t happen already. Nowhere does this happen. What gives you any indication that anything will change? And also, once you use your lifts for an aircraft, thats it. Most if not the vast majority of people aren’t going to waste money on an aircraft they won’t ever use just to troll a small mobile flight sim. They also have to all move their aircraft to the airport, which takes time and skill. Make it make sense.

You really gotta stop doomsaying. I don’t think this form of “trolling” occurred to anyone.

I just did

Exactly my point it hasn’t occurred to anyone yet until it does happen then what?

Also I am not trying “doomsay” anything other than pointing out potential risks on how features can be exploited and abused. With the hopes that it could be prevented from ever happening. It is called being prepared rather than overly optimistic.

Also vast majority of people don’t fly on infinite flight. Vast majority of people aren’t pilots or ATC controllers. But I wasn’t talking about the “vast majority of the world”. But the vast majority of infinite flight users are teens who have nothing else better to do than either fly or troll others.

I think this feature would be something amazing but only if this feature is properly regulated to prevent this feature from malicious activities.

But will this mode have its own server or will it be on Expert?

On the expert server… per the blog
