Hello,
While I appreciate the concept of this mode, and I understand from the FAQs that aircraft may be moved to a hangar/remote stand “after a while”, may I suggest that the grace period be drastically shortened to about 1-2 hours, and/or implement this for all airports instead of just high-demand ones (which I believe is probably limited to IFATC featured airports).
As I had feedback on my post here earlier, being a casual player who flies around the world mostly outside of IFATC regions, mimicking real-life flight plans, aircraft, and gate selections, so far, I have been getting the short end of the stick by already frequently encountering terminal gates occupied by inactive aircraft that have been parked for way longer than I felt was necessary, and that was despite having an extremely limited number of testers before today.
Oftentimes, there are multiple aircraft that are connected to a single player, taking up multiple contact gates for hours and hours (see EGLL, LSZH & LTFM for examples). As mentioned in my post, this is unrealistic and unfair for casual, spontaneous players like me, especially those who have no intention of using this feature. As this gradually rolls out to more players, I hope my suggestion will be considered, and to all current and future testers, I’d just wish you would at least exercise some courtesy by sharing the space, having the initiative to reposition your fleet to a lower-demand remote stand or hangar if you foresee not flying them for a prolonged period. After all, no airline in real life would park their aircraft at a terminal contact gate for days, much less a whole row of them. Thank you.
