The InfiniteInfo Web (Beta) is taking off
After nearly a full years work and countless requests I’m finally ready to announce another way to use InfiniteInfo.
About
- InfiniteInfo Web is an addition to the currently available iOS app (InfiniteInfo on the App Store) and will allow you to monitor your flights using InfiniteInfo on any device.
- InfiniteInfo Web supports all devices which use modern web browsers meaning you can even track on your Android devices now!
Features
- The web version currently offers many of the features that the mobile app does. However, it is missing some features, most notably a search function. Work on the missing features will immediately begin following the initial release.
- Why are there missing features? This website was made in conjunction with a web developer and we had agreed upon features to ensure the project was finished. I am now taking over the development of the website and will begin filling the current gaps!
How the release will work
- Starting with version 1.4.1 of the mobile app you are now able to use Sign in with Apple! This will be used to link accounts to the website for authentication purposes. Subscribers will see a link within the app which allows them to login to the website. Sign in with Apple on the website and you are good to go!
- The website will initially be made available to InfoPlus users.
- Why? This release is still a beta and I would like to ensure the website is stable and ready before releasing it to the entire user base. I still have to abide by Mapbox usage limits which are now much less lenient than the app’s (same reason InfiniteView has “Busy Periods”)
- While I know this might not be a popular decision I think it is a very necessary decision to maintain my high standards for delivering a quality product.
- Eventually the plan is to make the app available to everyone, identical to how the mobile app works!
Disclaimer: Please remember this is a beta version so it is possible bugs will be encountered!
