Introducing AutoPilot+

This will be sensational.

This is WONDERFUL!!

Not to get ahead of myself, but I wonder if the next step will be to have a smarter autopilot that can automatically tune and respond to center controllers (when in their boundaries) and adhere to altitude or speed restrictions :eyes::eyes:

Would be perfect for a super busy airport that needs basic sequencing to begin more than 30 minutes out without needing to have a pilot sit and wait for the extra time at cruise!

That’s a different mode, so you’d still be able to control on the same server.

Thank god…im so expected this one …and really love it

This is just Genius!! Congratulations to all developers for this one!

One question Laura, or anyone who knows a lot about this new feature.

Will we receive a notification from our device telling us that we’re about to start our descent or… 1 hour before reaching the destination?

To my knowledge no, but like the article says, it’ll automatically flight resume pause once your 30 minutes out.

This definitely sounds like a great feature, especially useful for long haul flights. Many thanks Devs for your dedication and for making our flying experience greater every time

If im using AutoPilot+ and im 1 hour away from the airport will I get a message from the app that i should start preparing for descent or something?

And what if I’m flying from CPH to Boston and suddenly Icelands airspace and ATC calls me “your in an active airspace please contact Iceland center” would I get an violation if I don’t respond?

No. It also doesn’t really matter. a) you can always set an alarm yourself, b) the flight will pause when it reaches 30 minutes away until you come back.

ATC shouldn’t contact you if you are marked as away/flight in the background.

As of right now, Laura said that it’s something they are working on, but won’t be included in the release

Does infinite flight have power back

In the c130, yes. Of course, you can just load in too.

I hope IF introduces auto-step climb in the next updates because this thing doesn’t seem to work with third-party apps like IF Assistant :eyes:

We have been testing this but won’t have time to include it in 25.1.
