Hey guys! Figured since we all love planes, hence why we play this game, so why not introduce ourselves.
So her we go…
My name is Jacob and I love planes :) so much that I fly them for a living. I started like most with a dream then at 17 got my private license to which I added my instrument, commercial and Multi engine certs. I then went ahead and got my cfi(flight instructor) and did that for a year before landing at my current job as a first officer(co pilot) for a regional airline. My dream is to fly 75 or 76.
Love this game it helps kill time while I wait for the plane in the terminal or delays due to mx or weather arise. Plus, it’s a great way to interact with fellow aviation lovers.
What about you guys? Students? Fly as a hobby? Or are there any fellow commercial or corporate pilots amongst us?
Shea, where in ny are you? And are you planning to go the whole way. Pvt through commercial? Or just want your pvt.
If you plan to go the whole way, I would recommend structured flight schools. Not your local FBo. Going the FBo route which I did for my pvt cost me almost twice it would have at places like atp, aero sim, or American flyers And I got my pvt in 43 hrs out of the 40min required.
Check out and join forums like jetcarrers to find more info on those flight schools and what’s the best fit for you.
15 years old, Freshman in high school in Austin, TX. My dream has always been to fly, although I’m looking into a career of Air Traffic Controlling in the future. Just a hobby, no PPL or anything (maybe later).
I take my students to austin executive for their cross countrys. You live near there? Atc is where it’s at pay and job security wise. I would go that route if I didn’t love flying as much as I do and I don’t meet their age cut off.
Name is HD, I work for Tyler Shelton as a coffee boy in real life when ATC gets hectic. Pay is pretty low but he tells me the experience is invaluable. Looking to getting into flying and hopefully fly @matt And @philippe Around in their 737BBJ.
On a serious note,
Name is Melvin, I’m a Multi engine ATP pilot with a few type ratings. I keep my Certified flight instructor ratings active so I can give back to those coming up through the ranks. I’m very fortunate to have wonderful parents who believed in me and gave me an opportunity to chase a dream when I was in highschool. I’ve been flying since 2002 and professionally since 2008. Flying has been my dream since I was 3 and I can hail say I’ve checked every box that I’ve dreamed of except 2 in 30 years of exploring gods green earth ;).
My dream is to get hired with one of the big 3 carriers in the USA so I can spend more time helping others. Aviation is a small world and I’m just fortunate enough to be one of the many lucky ones to have fun for a living. Currently flying a B-777 for a US company which I love but we spend a lot of time on the road (18 days minimum). Enough about me however, I’m more interested in you guys / girls and what got you started into this crazy industry .
I’m 44, live in Chicago and work for a major, well known, American company. I travel a great deal (1,000,000+ miles…as a passenger) but spent about three years in a helicopter aviation unit with about 500 hours of experience in a Bell Jet Ranger in my 20s. I have always loved aviation and came very close to doing ATC work in my younger years.
Hey, my name is Thomas I am 15 years old and a freshman in high school. I am getting my PPL and am hoping for a future career in aviation. I won’t be around much for the next 3 months (am going on a trip to help people in Honduras).
Hi, im Jake 15 yrs old, in the process of getting flying lessons and hoping to push for my dream career! I also made this website just for flight plans on Infinite Flight!
My name is Hervas. I’m a first year medical student. I know it may be seem weird but I love both medicine and aviation. Unfortunately, it is hard to get a job as a pilot in my country (actually there no vacancy in pilot job at all) . So, I have to continue my study in medicine. But, I’m still hoping to become a commercial pilot one day.
