Interview with BA A380/777 Captain

Hey,

So tomorrow I’m going to be speaking to a British Airways captain. He has over 25 years of experience. However, I’m going to be asking some questions. If anyone has any relating to recruitment to BA --> Salary/Benefits, let me know below.

Here is a list of questions I plan to ask:

  1. How old were you when you began flying?
  2. How did you get involved specifically with ba?
  3. How long did you fly the shorter range aircraft as a first officer before he progressed to captain on the bigger aircraft?
  4. Has he ever flown on the BA001 route to JFK?
  5. What is the salary like at BA?

This is all I have come up with so far. Do you guys think this is enough?

No, because BA001 is an A318 route from LCY-JFK.

That really is a rather personal question, don’t expect a detailed answer :)

But I must say i am rather envious of you. Enjoy :)

May I suggest a few more questions

What does it feel like to fly
What is his favourite route
Does he get to train new pilots
where does he see himself in five years

Ask him about the BAFPP

No, it isn’t. I’ve somehow gotten a thirty minute Q&A with him over the phone

Watch him say 5 years older or in a mirror.
@Racerjake1213 -ignore that

Are you going to that thing in T5? At Heathrow?

Ask him to join Infinite flight and he’ll become best friends with Aernout.

From London, it stops at Shannon for refueling, and then to New York.

It’s only business class 32 seats

They are using A318 to Replacing Concorde on this route. and it stops at Shannon to refuelling (Like what @Sturmovik said).

That’s a funny point but I don’t think he is friends with every pilot 😂

He is flying the 380 or the 777?

He recently converted to the A380, was a 777 captain for 6 years.
