International Airlines Group (IAG) CEO Willie Walsh To Retire

Willie Walsh, CEO of IAG, will retire on June 30, 2020:

IAG is the airline holdings company for British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia, Vueling, and LEVEL.

CEO Willie Walsh will step down from the Board of IAG on March 26, 2020, and retire in June. Walsh will be replaced by current Iberia CEO Luis Gallego.

Walsh played a huge role in leading the merger between British Airways and Iberia.

It’ll be interesting to see how IAG performs under the new leadership. Best of luck to them.

Well I have to say Walsh had a lot of great accomplishments! Don’t forget about getting Air Europa as well. Hopefully Gallego can usher in a new era of customer experience for BA
