Well, Air Canada uses a 787 on their service from Toronto to Vancouver and an A330 from Vancouver to Montréal. And SWISS flies an a340 from Zurich to Tel Aviv.
Seems legit.

Well just hope you don’t suffer a last-minute equipment swap to a 737-800! Or even worse… the 737 MAX!
(I cannot believe that American refuses to put IFE in the MAX!)
There 800s aren’t that bad right? They have IFE I think. The AA Max is terrible I’ve heard.
An other example is Jetstar who fly a YMML-YSSY before it becomes a flight to PHNL.
Think this is because YMML is the main base for Jetstar and so they have their maintenance based there.
In IF a good example of flying a widebody for a short 1 hr flight.
I believe they that is because they know people of been bringing their own devices, so it just saves weight. I have flown on an AA737-800 once, and it did have IFEeven though mine didn’t work the entire flight, ugggggg, whereas all the A320 family aircraft I was one did not have it, as for the 737 MAX, I am aware that they do not have IFE, I cannot tell you if the MAX is terrible or not.
none of us can
