Interesting airports at which to land

Would like to discuss airports that are challenging to land at and/or located in beautiful places and hence worth checking out in global. The link below has a few airports and one of my favorites that isn’t listed is Christiano Ronaldo International Airport (formerly Funchal Airport).

Feel free to chime in, cheers!

I’ve found that KLAX on Training Server is the hardest one for sure.

TFFJ is probably one of the best, it’s so fun to land over the mountain and not fail

NZAA in New Zealand because it’s just so beautiful!!!

I was about to make a topic like this. I’m going to be doing a flight around the best airports in the Cessna sitation x, so I need to know where to find nice scenery.

I think we should make it a wiki so people can add airports.

For he moment the ones mentioned and my favourite are:

KASE
KLAX
KMIA
LOWI
LSGG
LSGS
NZAA
OMDB
RJAA
TFFJ
VNLK
VQPR

YPPH - perth
??? - PARO
YBSU- SUNSHINE COAST
LOWI- INNSBRUCK
??? - EDINBURGH

SJU - San Juan beautiful approach

Because of the surrounding mountains, VNKT requires special approach, departure, and missed approach procedures.

24L and 24R, only a few like going there. That is where I land for that very reason lol.

Norway has beautiful arrivals, with the ocean, and mountains setting the scenery perfectly together.

Yes try park, it’s a great approach

Qamdo Bangda is the heighest airport ASL. It has a really long runway and the air is so thin there that you need a lot of thrust to land

VQPR = Paro
EGPH = Edinburgh

I had started this up a few months ago…all still valid, good airports for pattern work or to fly to/from for various reasons:

Do we really need to do this again?

KTUS has a great desert approach, especially for 19R
