Real World Aviation Spotting

I was really hesitant about posting this because of a few things. I’m sure a few people know that last Wednesday a small plane crashed at Torrance Airport while on final for runway 11R. There were two individuals on board, the pilot and one passenger. It happened to be that I knew the pilot who unfortunately passed away while flying the aircraft. He was a huge inspiration to me because he did a lot for the aviation world and has taught me a lot of aviation stuff that I know today. He taught me the general basics of aviation and really got me started into liking aviation. Hearing that he passed away was a huge blow through my heart so I decided to make a little thing about it.

These photos were taken about a year or two ago when he and my dad and I went spotting together.

You’ll be in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. Just know that what you are feeling at this time is valid and a part of your recovery. The only thing you can do is take it one day/step at a time. Don’t get discouraged if the days are hard and progress is slow. As Benny said, this post shows courage. Thank you for sharing your feelings here.
