Hello Infinite Flight Community!
The day has finally arrived! We are incredibly excited to officially launch the Open Beta for InFlight—the next-generation flight tracking and pilot utility for the Infinite Flight platform.
For months, we’ve been meticulously building a tool designed to look and feel better. We are excited to show what we have built over these couple months!

COCKPIT VIEW & LIVE PILOT REPORTING
InFlight provides an unparalleled look into pilot performance and real-time flight metrics.
- Vertical Situation Display (VSD): Analyze a pilot’s performance in three dimensions! The VSD shows a clean profile of the filed altitude plan against the actual flown altitude, making it easy to spot deviations.
- Live PFD (Primary Flight Display): Features a highly responsive, calculated, and smooth-slew roll and pitch indicator, updated in near real-time, offering a genuine cockpit feel.
- Advanced Flight Phase Detection: Our custom logic uses live data, ground speed, and runway data to accurately determine and display the pilot’s current phase:
LINED UP,SHORT FINAL,FLARE,CRUISE, and much more!. - Live Grade and Stats: Pull up the full pilot report (Grade, XP, ATC Rank, Violation History) for the aircraft you are tracking.
MAP AWARENESS & DYNAMIC TRAFFIC
We’ve overhauled how you view the skies with deep integration and visual cues:
- Dynamic Aircraft Icons: Traffic is instantly categorized! We use different icons to distinguish aircraft types like Jumbo, Widebody, Fighter, and General Aviation. Plus, we visually differentiate between Staff and VA Members with unique icon designs.
- Real-Time ATC & NOTAMs: See staffed airports instantly. Approach and Departure sectors even feature a pulsing visual aura on the map for quick identification of active airspace.
- Aircraft Search & Map Filtering: Use the universal search bar to find any pilot by callsign or username from the live traffic data.
- Route Explorer: Click on any airport marker to instantly see active routes departing from that location and plot the route lines on the map.
CUSTOM EXPERIENCE & BETA BONUS
We’ve designed the mobile experience to be flexible and powerful, and we have a special thank you for our early adopters:
- Choose Your Layout: InFlight offers two dedicated mobile layouts you can select in the Map Filter settings: the immersive, swipe-controlled Heads-Up Display (HUD) Islands or the classic scrollable Legacy Sheet view.
- Limited-Time Satellite Map: As a special treat for the Open Beta, we’ve temporarily unlocked the stunning Satellite Map Style for all users. Enjoy the high-resolution world view while it lasts!
IMPORTANT: RESOURCE LIMITS & FUTURE
- Temporary Resource Cap: To ensure stability and manage our backend load, access may be temporarily limited if usage exceeds current resource constraints.
- The ‘Pro’ Plan: The full suite of advanced features will eventually transition into an optional “Pro” subscription (approx. $1.99/mo). This supports the ongoing development, backend servers, and API costs.

As InFlight is in the Open Beta phase, many features, functionalities, and limitations are subject to change. Please note the following:
- Subject to Change: Everything shown—including layouts, visual styles, data sources, and feature availability—is not limited to being changed, modified, or eliminated.
- Future Monetization: Certain current Open Beta features may eventually be placed under a paid subscription (such as the upcoming ‘Pro’ plan) or be changed/eliminated entirely.
- No Guarantees: We provide no guarantees that any specific feature available during the beta will remain free or available in the final product.
To submit missing plane pictures for our database—which links assets via unique naming conventions for real-time loading—please note that credit may or may not be given, depending on the current rapid development status and potential future database changes.
No cropped pictures will be accepted

This is a beta, and while we have tested extensively, you may encounter bugs or incomplete features.
- Please report any issues here in this thread.
- Mobile users may have more trouble than desktop users.
- Some features may not work for mobile users, and viseversa.
