We’re excited to announce the beta release of InfiniteTrack, the new flight tracker app for Infinite Flight available on Android! Built specifically for Android, InfiniteTrack gives you real-time insight into the virtual skies of IF’s servers.
Here’s what you can access right now by downloading the InfiniteTrack beta build from the Google Play store:
- Choose from a variety of map styles and aircraft icons to personalize your tracking view
- Search for specific flights and pilots in real time
- View pilot stats and recent flights at a glance
- Access airport details, including ATIS information
- Set push notifications for key updates from your favourite pilots or flights
- Instantly see which flights are active, flying with Autopilot+, or when a pilot is away from their device
But we’re not stopping there. During the beta phase, we’re working hard to bring you even more powerful features which together with the above will constitute InfiniteTrack’s initial full release feature set, including:
- Viewing flight plans in the app
- Access to full pilot log books
- Pairing with IF Remote to see which users are flying with it – along with enhanced flight data like aircraft state and cockpit activity fed by IF Remote relays in real time!
Of course, apps and services like these cost money to build, improve and continuously run. This is why third-party apps for Infinite Flight usually have options to subscribe to pro tiers or other options to help the developers fund these costs.
With InfiniteTrack, the Canadian Seagulls Studios team have decided we will make all features available to all users for free rather than lock them behind a paywall - but will embed some degree of advertising in the app. We will offer an option to subscribe for a small fee to remove ads, but at this time we plan to make all features of the app available to all users with ads as our model moving forwards. As a result, advertisement placeholder boxes may eventually begin appearing in the InfiniteTrack beta at some point before release.
The InfiniteTrack beta is available now on Android, and we can’t wait for you to try it and send us feedback to help make it the best it can be!
Fly smart and track smarter with InfiniteTrack today!
