Hello, Infinite Flight Community.

I am happy to present to you a new third-party project.

InfiniteConnections

Have you ever felt a bit lonely?
Have you ever wondered if there are others in your area that play Infinite Flight?
InfiniteConnections should be a solution to both.

This project is rather simple;

• An interactive map
• A database of IFC user locations

That’s pretty much it :)

This website allows users to register to have their location added to the database, allowing people living in the same cities to form friendships and maybe even meet up! This is simpler than going through everyone’s account location and allows for an interactive way to find people of similar interests in your area.

I’m not going to make a very long explanation of a simple project, but if you have any questions, feel free to send a private message to this account and I will reply as soon as possible.

Upon accessing the webpage, you will be asked to confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions of use. These are written below. Please ensure to comply to these terms as any harm caused by a failure to abide to them will result in your removal from the project and notification of necessary authorities for serious issues.

The website only shows major cities and rounds up suburbs into large cities. It will not display addresses, just the general area or nearest city).

If you are not comfortable sharing your location, participation isn’t mandatory and you can opt out at any time by sending me a DM.

Also, I’ve noticed that the map can’t be moved around, I can only zoom in or out, is it intended to be like that?

Actually, never mind, was just me being an idiot. Didn’t know I need to scroll with my mouse to move around. Kind of janky at times though

Actually, I’d like to point out that some locations aren’t 100% accurate.

The dot in The Netherlands is me, living in Eindhoven. But that is not Eindhoven’s location, that is
Rotterdam.

I think the same goes for London, London is a bit more to the south east.

Thanks for pointing this out. That was mentioned in the Terms and I will be working on fixing this issue. This is a known problem that occurs when users zoom into the map and a solution will come in a future update.
