On approach into Heathrow on London Center frequency, I can’t help but feel a lot of the ATC would be smoother and more helpful for IFATC if people knew what the right calls are to make tat what time (i.e. check in rather than request flight following, requests for climbs to altitudes, request approach as you soon as you tune into approach, reading ATIS).
