I recently discovered that Google Play Games is now accessible on Windows OS, and there are several games you can install. I’m wondering if Infinite Flight will also be available for installation on the Google Play Games platform for Windows. If that’s the case, it would be a significant update since playing Infinite Flight on phones tends to drain a lot of battery, and you can’t continue a flight in the background while multitasking. Exiting the app results in disconnection from the servers. Kudos to the Infinite Flight team! 🍻
Highly unlikely. Even with Google Play Games coming to Windows, this doesn’t change the overarching fact that Infinite Flight is first and foremost a mobile flight simulator. As such, mobile devices are Infinite Flight’s native platform, and thus, where it runs best.
It simply isn’t designed to run on desktop without the use of emulators, and it would be an otherworldly undertaking for the Infinite Flight team to try and design a version of Infinite Flight that would work with the vast expanse of desktops that exist in the world.
I’m sure the team would much rather focus on improving the mobile experience by adding new liveries and reworking aircraft in dire need of a rework.
