The infinite flight app crashed just second away from landing for the second time. I was doing flight from Dubai to Amsterdam today and the app crashed when I was around 500ft . This is the second time this has happened few days ago which was the last time i did flight from Dubai to London the same thing happened on approach. I did all the things as mentioned in earlier topics such as clearing cache, deleting older replays and maintaining sufficient storage the device was kept in a cool room it was not heated at all and was charging too at 100%. I need help in order to stop this from happening again and ruining the experience of this game!.
Device: IPad 9th generation Storage: 64gb / 33gb still available Operating system: iPadOS 18.0
Just pulled a Long Haul from KLAX to EGLL and the app crashed on final. A380. Casual server, all resolution functions on low. Anti-aliasing off. I even cleared the cache about 10min. out from landing!
The first thing I always hear before a crash is, the audio starts popping.
Then I suggest you start by following the steps given :)
In 99,9% of the cases for these crashes, people are running with graphics settings / airplane count / object density set too high for their device model and/or they havenât restarted their device in quite a while.
Thatâs the reason those things are covered in the help article I posted earlier.
I checked the graphics and airplane count settings according to the compatibility thread and mine is same as told in it.
Mine is ipad 9th generation and the thread says i can put the graphics on high and airplane count is high . Antialising is on .
I used to play with the same settings before the issue happened on same 18.1 OS but there was no problem , it started a few days ago only!
The compatibility thread is not official and it wonât always be up to date unfortunately.
Not sure why youâre pushing back on this when this is literally what I do around here and we have official documentation with tips on how to resolve issues like this.
This I can tell you right away wonât work.
Itâs great that it has worked for you in the past, no arguing that. But if you search around a bit youâll find quite many users who have the same iPad model as you and they are experiencing these crashes the same as you, for the very reasons Iâve mentioned before :)
