Mobile devices are getting more powerful every year, and Infinite Flight continues to evolve with them. But what do you think the sim will look like in 2030?
Will we have things like:
• Full VR support?
• 3D clouds and city lights?
• Live cockpit interaction (like pushing actual buttons)?
• Voice ATC or full multiplayer voice chat?
• A built-in career mode?
Or maybe something none of us have imagined yet?
Share your predictions — where do you see Infinite Flight going in the next 5 years?
Well tbh I don’t think they would integrate IF into pc of as well because they have said that IF is a mobile sim and is unlikely to have a PC version. Then again I would like that for using my flight stick. I think the voice ATC is quite unlikely as a lot of people do not want to use VC in general, and it would be a lot harder to do that and substitute for those who don’t use VC, but maybe there will be a server for that idk.
Still no Boeing 767-300ER… I still don’t get why y’all voted for the 787. Like honestly it baffles me. The 787 is still useable, it has APPR and all the basics just not a live cockpit. The 767 is from a whole different era of Infinite Flight. It needs a refresh way more than the 787
The thing is that the 787-9 is being used so much more than the 767 as it has more range than the 767 and more modern. And the 767 will be updated too, but in a little bit more time. The polls are mainly for deciding which one first. Only sometimes they don’t do the other option completely unlike now.
For this not really, for example the 787 rework is gunna take a year, and also other things they have planned for a while now, it may be as I said in a year or 2 after 2030
I think before 5 years we would have gotten something like 3D clouds maybe(City lights) or maybe even more developer staff members! So developments like the project metal would be done faster. But in general I think we really need some more developer staff members, so development on other things would go faster.
With project metal I believe that will be possible in maybe 3-4 years so yes I believe it would be in the timeframe of 2030. And if you want more prod. Devs you should become one yourself. But I’m just saying.
I hope not. I’ve been using Aerofly for months, and I can tell you that having an interactive cockpit on a phone isn’t really the best idea…It’s definitely better with an iPad, but many of us use a smaller screen.
