Since this new update for Infinite Flight, it has kept on crashing and it is extremely annoying. The first flight it happened was from Delhi to Melbourne with a Qantas A330 in the Expert Server. I was starting my decent after a long flight and the app just quit. The second time it happened was when I was flying from Nice to Madrid yesterday and it crashed just before decent again. And just earlier today it happened, I was flying from Mexico City to Madrid and half way through the flight it crashed, because I woke up to my phone which had been turned off. Usually when I do overnight long-haul flights they work fine in the previous update, but when I check the replay, it says āApplication Deactivatedā. And the funny thing is, just as I was checking the replay file to see the flight logs, it crashed again. I hope this is fixed as Iām paying good money to use this app.
P.S. I have plenty of storage available, and my WIFI works fine as in the previous update I completed multiple longhaul overnight flights.
Could be CPU after completing that many flights. The storage for a long haul flight could reach 77.2 Megabytes. Do you lower screen brightness and turn on* the Infinite Flightās low power mode?
Thanks for the speedy reply. Firstly, I just checked the settings and the Infinite Flightās low power mode was switched off, so I have just turned this on. And yes, I do turn my brightness all the way down when flying longhaul, and sometimes take my phone out of the case and rest it on a mental tin to keep it cool. Iāll see what this changes but I have a feeling this wonāt fix the issue.
Great, try to put it on objects that do not conduct heat. If this does not fix it, you can go ahead and see what could eventually help the issue. Make sure you put graphics to either medium or low and lower the texture quality too until you touch down so that a touchdown will be counted and that it will not be a total waste. This happened to me before and it regards the graphics for me.
In this scenario, I would go to your phone Settings app>general>iPhone Storage> Infinite Flight and then click Delete app. This will cause to delete all data you have stored of IF in your phone (I think this would include replays unfortunately). I think this method should work. If it doesnāt Iād be honestly surprised.
Just deleted the app like you said and re-downloaded it. Also turned down all my graphics settings to the lowest and tried to fly again online. It crashed twice while trying to fly from Lisbon to Madridā¦
I donāt know what to do at this point as the game is literally unplayable.
Hello, I would advise both of you to send your crash logs to either support@infiniteflight.com or cameron@infiniteflight.com (and explaining the issue) following the steps outlined here (I used this older message to show that it is helpful and reccomended to email them with this extra information, there is no harm in doing so):
Weird, I just had some crashing issues too (twice in a row it crashed while trying to load in, generally Iāve been having crashing issues with game startup in 22.8), so I tried looking, and all recent ones had resource in it. Hopefully a staff member can provide some insight soon
Would it be possible to make a downgrade to IF and return it to the previous stable version? I know itād make a lot of people angry, but it would be a good option to do that while you guys track down the game breaking bug.
