Infinite Flight Global Airport Tracking Thread

Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo International Airport. Punta Arenas, Chile

Capitán de Corbeta Carlos A. Curbelo International Airport. Maldonado, Uruguay

San Carlos de Bariloche Airport. Bariloche, Argentina

Adding to this, I’d like to share a draft of a policy I wrote a few days ago, about us (the editing team). This also talks about global flight, in the ambit of the airports.

The reason why I wrote this, is because despite of the several posts we have made regarding to this topic, people are still asking the same (useless) questions.

##Infinite Flight Airport Editing Team Policy

Hello fellow Infinite Flight fan! We hope you’re having an excellent day today. Please take part of your time to read the policy of the Infinite Flight Airport Editing Team, so you can learn more about who we are and what we do. We’ll appreciate your comprehension and understanding in advance.

About us

The Infinite Flight Airport Editing Team is an independent group from Flight Development Studio. We’re a group of volunteers who are willing to take part of their time to redo and renovate the airports of Infinite Flight. We don’t get paid whatsoever.

Our contributions don’t have an impact in the (Infinite Flight) app updates, so we have 0% of control over that. That means for example, the fact that an airport is missing a taxiway or whatever, won’t impede FDS to push an update.

Our determination as a team

We are committed to deliver high-quality airports, to make your experience in Infinite Flight better. Your gratitude and good thoughts is our great satisfaction. Every day, we do our best to sharpen our editing skills, so you can have better detailed airports to enjoy. We look forward towards the future and share our work with you all in Global Flight.

Our way of work

We don’t take requests nor suggestions from people, no matter the communication channel. We do the airports of our wish. Every time when a person requests an airport, it reduces the possibilities of being redone at some point.

We show our current airports in progress in the IF Forum’s airport tracking thread. You can give a like and/or say, “thanks for doing my home airport!” if you want, but you can’t request/suggest airports.

We only do airports with a valid ICAO code. Airports with no ICAO code have 0% of chance to be done. The same goes with disused airports.

About Global Flight in general

All the airports will be in Global Flight once is released. Edited or not, it will be there. Even though when Global Flight is out, we’ll continue to edit airports and/or renovate them.

How to join

The only way in which your airport(s) can be fully detailed in Global Flight, is to do it yourself by joining the team. If you can’t or don’t want to do so, then we’re sorry, you’ll have to wait until someone does the airport(s).

Send an email to and an administrator of the team will respond to you in approximately between 2-3 business days. Follow the instructions provided in the email in order to get started. If you need help, we’ll be happy to assist you. The editors conforming the team are from around the world, so if you don’t dominate English 100%, don’t worry, we speak your native language.

For more information

Please feel free to instruct yourself more about our team by reading these topics, they also offer useful and detailed information about the team and what to expect from Global Flight, in the ambit of the airports.

As always, we’re here to make your experience in Infinite Flight great, because great is what we’re going for. Respectfully,

The Team Members
