Infinite Flight Fuel Burns (Estimates)

Hey folks!

I have recently reformatted the fuel burn table for the Infinite Flight fleet to allow for easier viewing and reference for the various aircraft. The old topic that has now been closed can be found here. The information is organized in a way that sorts the aircraft by manufacturer in A-Z order.

I’d like to point out the notes and legend section at the end of this topic as it will describe some of the symbols you may see next to an aircraft model, or in the “Economy Cruise” and/or “Max Speed” columns. Please reference the legend found at the bottom for interpretation of the various symbols used.

Where did I get some of these numbers?

Most of these numbers can be found on the weight and balance page. Those values that can’t be found on the weight and balance page were found by flying on the Casual Server up to altitude for a few minutes and playing the game of trial and error to find the other pieces of information.

  • Max Speed is based on the limits that are set in the app. Do realize that some of these limits could above the actual aircraft limitations. Keep that in mind if you wish to fly even more realistic.
  • Fuel burn values came from the weight and balance page.
  • Flight Time values came from the weight and balance page.
  • Economy Cruise (speed) was tested at FL350 for airliners, regional jets, and other aircraft that are capable of reaching that altitude. All other aircraft are as specified (if any).

Flight Notes:

  • Flight Time is with Fuel Tanks at 100%

  • Flight Time & Fuel Burn will differ based on winds aloft, aircraft weight, altitude, power setting, trim, etc.

  • CRJs: Greatest fuel economy will be achieved between M.75-M.78 depending on weight and weather factors.

  • Dash 8: Cruising altitude at time of testing was FL240. Simple way of remembering what to cruise at is 240 @ 240 (240kts at FL240).

  • TBM: Setting cruise speed to 200kts when below FL280 will achieve you the highest efficiency. Prior to FL280 when climbing to FL310, set speed to 200kts and do not change speed. Leave it set to the 200kts and it will automatically get you to the appropriate cruise setting. Leaving it set at 200kts will set you at M.53 ±M.01. Do not exceed M.53 for optimum efficiency.

  • XCub: Tested @ 10,000ft. /// 90kts = 04:16hrs /// 95kts = 03:56hrs /// 100kts = 03:40hrs ///

  • A10: If heavy, start off at lower altitudes until you can burn off some weight to climb higher. Step climb this aircraft if departing heavy and if you’d like to cruise at higher altitudes.

Note #1: Aircraft that are confirmed to be undergoing the reworked process and currently in beta testing have been left blank for the time being. The aircraft is still there as a place holder but no information will be input in those columns until the aircraft has been released.

Note #2: These values may change as Infinite Flight gets new or updated information for these aircraft. The values provided below are mostly correct and purely based off of my own testing of each aircraft. There may be slight errors in the Economy Speed column. You’ll just have to play around with it a little bit and use the numbers I provided as a baseline and play with your speed a little to find that sweet spot.

LEGEND:

® - Aerial Refueling capable
✶ - Step climbing likely required if departing heavy
– - Indicates aircraft does not have a max speed and/or a economy cruising speed that extends past the Flight Time
∞ - Indicates fuel efficiency is not available regardless of altitude to determine an appropriate cruising speed

Missing aircraft that will be added in a bit later today is the CRJ1000. Other than that the 777-200ER should be the only other one with no information as explained in Note #1.

really good!

I’m pretty sure the E175 is more efficient at more like M.68 in IF because of its messed up physics, and then you can get 4+ hours out of it I may be wrong tho

I’ve been flying this aircraft a lot lately, and unless something’s been changed very recently, it’s fuel burn seems to be closer to 4000 lb/hour, 4500 if you’re really heavy. You can get 20 hours flight time out of it and the game says it has a 15 hour fuel capacity.
