This glossary provides definitions for key terms and abbreviations used within the Infinite Flight Community. After noticing a few users asking what different abbreviations meant, I thought it would be a good idea to have a central location to keep these terms noted down. This post is also a wiki and can be edited and added to.

IFAET | Infinite Flight Airport Editing Team | This is a group of volunteers who contribute to the development and updating of airports within the Infinite Flight |
IFATC | Infinite Flight Air Traffic Control | A team of volunteers within the Infinite Flight Community who provide air traffic control services |
IFC | Infinite Flight Community | The Infinite Flight Community is the online forum, currently where you are reading this post |
IFVARB | Infinite Flight Virtual Airline Regulatory Board | The Infinite Flight Virtual Airline Regulatory Board is the governing and assisting body that controls and coordinates all efforts and operations within the VA community |
RFR | Ready for Release | “Ready for Release” refers to an airport that has been edited, reviewed, and meets all quality standards, making it prepared to be included in an upcoming scenery update for Infinite Flight. |
RPR | Request Peer Review | For Editors to be able to review each other’s airports before it is submitted for Official Review. Editors must ensure that their airport is nearing completion before requesting a peer review and must provide the airport ICAO when making a request. Peer reviews are optional but highly recommended |
TL | Trust Level | Trust Levels are a way of staggering the access users have to this forum’s features |
VA | Virtual Airline | A Virtual Airline is a community-driven simulation organisation that mimics the operations of a real-world airline |
VO | Virtual Organisation | A Virtual Organization is similar to a virtual airline but can encompass a broader range of activities and roles |
WIP | Work In Progress | Work In Progress indicates that a feature, update, or project is still under development and not yet finalised |
