What does the exemption mean?

I think by exemption they mean exception. Which means it doesn’t follow the same rules, in this case those airports have custom terminals.

Because editors are not able to make custom 3D terminals or towers. They were created by the same 3D artists who work on airplanes. LA, Dubai received custom terminal and towers because they are popular and everybody knows these airports.
If it becomes possible for ordinary editors to make custom 3D objects, then there will be more such airports, but we may need a person who will review all new 3D creations so they can be added to the game. It’s not easy and there are a lot of pitfalls here

Ahh that clears it up quite more. Had no idea custom terminals were a separate team from editors. For what it’s worth, let’s hope the other team does decide to build more custom terminals in the future, as there’s a lot of nice airports that would benefit from looking like their real-life counterpart

Any updates on any bangladesh airports as they are very outdated. Especially Dhaka airport which just had its terminal 3 finished and they also add a new high speed exit taxiway from the runway

Delighted that LIMC is coming 3D I flew there a week ago and was saying pity it’s not 3D look forward to flying back again to a new airport 
Any news about fixing LIRF (Rome Fiumicino) ? The new boarding gates area was completed in 2022 but no one fixed that, we can only use stairs instead of jet bridges.

Developers we need Delhi Airport. It is a must. The main airport of India is not 3d. Many people are dreaming of flying from Delhi to Other Airports full 3d. Take your time to do it but please try to release it in the next major update. You guys have made a beautiful game now make it better.
The issue is people work on it and then they quit after a while it could have been released years ago if this was not the case
Delhi is WIP - Alex(Alexev) on Discord has said he’s working on it. ETC is not known.

As @BennyBoy_Alpha already mentioned, editing airports is volunteer work. We do have lives outside Infinite Flight.
The editing team is building all the airports in their free time. We also depend on various sources for imagery as we always try to create airports that are as close to the truth as possible. If imagery doesn’t get updated we cannot continue the works.

Yeah I’m aware of this but it’s exactly the best look it is ?
As Editing Team we possibly could push out 100+ airports every update, no doubt about that. But with that pace the quality will go down. And we don’t want that. Do you want ‘broken’ airports?
What is the story with bowers field (Mn 52) it says it updated to 3D but i go there and there is no 3D objects. Is it just brand new to the sim
