Infinite Flight Airport Editing Application [CURRENTLY CLOSED]

We are not training editors. They’re learning editing skills with editing with themselves. Of course we are helping them when they request help as always. But it’s definitely not a training :)

Just let them in then! 😐 (JK IDK how it works)

It would be a big mess in AET. We don’t have enough SE/Reviewer or Moderators for this huge numbers. We are talking about over 2000 members. Inviting all of them in once will cause Airports quality gets low, overwhelming and AET gets unmanageable.

With guidelines in place for airport editing, it’s not sensible to assume quality will drop. Not everyone is a dud. Not everyone applies for the heck of it. Most people who apply, apply because of a genuine interest and passion to contribute. Editing airports (if the tutorial videos are anything to go by), aren’t for the lazy and disinterested. There’s a learning curve for it.

There’s always a way around things if the devs are genuinely interested in doing it. Senior or experience Airport Editors can always be promoted to Reviewers. But I suppose the usual excuse will be thrown in, no time due to personal lives, family etc etc. seems to be the latest album topping charts.

If you have Tons of member and not enough Reviewers/Moderators you can’t manage the quality. Editor’s first airports are mostly low quality because they’re learning how to edit. It can take few airports to learn well about editing but most of the new editors trying to make it faster.

We have 693 Editors in Team and I can say only 200 of them contributing well. Everyone says I will edit Tons of airport if I will be get in to the team but mostly they never do it. They’re making their first airport and will not edit anymore.

Yeah there is. So they will stop working on 737 Max8, Neo family and more things for app just for someone can be invited to IFAET. That won’t make sense.

We can’t. There are tons of things to do for being Reviewer. You can’t promoted everyone to Reviewer. If you do quality will drop fastly.

We all have life and need to do lots of things in real life. Infinite Flight is just a game and shouldn’t be in our first place. No one will choose Infinite Flight over their family.

You all realize the more you complain and say the same thing over and over again with regards to your IFAET applications, the less the chances of you ever getting into the team right. All the replies you are making shows the team that you are stubborn and won’t listen to reasoning that the moderators have given out multiple times, which means if you ever get into the team, you won’t listen to Senior Editors/Reviewers/Moderators feedback for your airports, take this with a grain of salt, but just forget about the IFAET for a while, go enjoy the sim, enjoy life even, there’s lots to do rather than sit around and type into this thread worrying about if you’re ever going to get in. We would love to welcome you all with open arms when the time is right.

This. While I’m not an editor, I really don’t get how hard it is for people to understand that the world doesn’t revolve around them. Have some patience!

Womp womp…

I haven’t even re-applied after creating my new account. I applied many months ago when I had time, interest and unlimited access to various Indian airports because of my work and colleagues. Maybe have a look at my other posts on the topic before commenting. I’ve showed enough of support for the IFS team both online and offline. Giving feedback on a situation that I’ve watched unfold over the last few months isn’t a crime.

Haven’t even applied… so heaven knows what will be affected? I take my work seriously whether it’s paid or done voluntarily. Your assumptions about people posting here and how it may affect their ability to take onboard feedback us just that - assumptions

I have a question: is there any source editors use to find terminal numbers and ramp names? For example, here at jfk in game there is area called “apron H”. I’d love to have it myself for realism purposes when I fly into an airport, and just because of pure curiosity.

We use various airport charts and similar resources.

Thanks! I’ll try to find those navigraph ones

Um is there any free ones?

AirMate is my go to, same for many fellow editors.

You can also simply Google it and find some free ones or images. The second picture is actually Apple Maps.
