Infinite Flight Airport Editing Application [CURRENTLY CLOSED]

Would LG56 be a better bet? It’s genuinely small, I could knock it down in 2 days, but I feel like it’s an airport I’d rather do while doing a larger project.

As an apprentice editor you can only edit one airport at once, but I’d assume you could get LG56 as well.

Alright, thanks for the feedback! I’ll consider that, and also discuss it with the admin of the IFAET.

Do they DM you on the IFC if you have got the job?

I wouldn’t use the term “job” 😂, but yes, you will get a DM on the IFC.

2 years since my application and still no answer! Let’s goooooooo

Everyone saying that takes time, none take the responsibility to say that it’s been denied, there aren’t other reasons why don’t have any answer yet. Cowards🤨🤨

Brooooo, one year later and still no answer. Which excuse would you use this time?🎪

Good luck bro, I’m waiting 2 years this month 🤡🎪

How is this an example of cowardness?

Don’t take responsibility of saying the truth but hiding behind excuses

It’s not, bro can’t find real facts to base his argument on, so he resorted to name calling.

Just by calling us “cowards,” we’d discard your application. What a blatantly disrespectful remark.

We’re still trying to get things together to resume admitting people, but as you probably know or not, we’re all busy with our daily lifes.

Please, more maturity.

you can be as kind as you want, but indulge me if after two years of waiting a person starts to get impatient and think that there is something rotten or hidden underneath.
It would be enough to say things as they are and we would all be happy and content

I’m going to put things simply in this way:

Oh believe me if I’m conveying my messages in a kind manner, but our patience is put to the test daily with people being impatient too. We know 2 years is a long wait, but again: we’re always busy as any other human being in this world.

And what do you think we have been saying this whole time?.. We’re not perfect but we’ve been transparent about what’s happening. With staff preparing to participate in future events and shows, while others going through work tasks and/or summer classes, we’re not available to discuss the new structure to go through applications.

We want for example, clear the backlog of airports needing to be reviewed for release. We had over 100 airports pending review, we’ve managed to get the number down to nearly zero because we promoted senior editors to reviewers. We don’t want to overwhelm reviewers with more airports and new editors who are trying to get a hang of how the team works.

Accusing us of corruption without claims is quite a bold statement. If you think you can get ahead by acting like that, you’re just sinking yourself in the mud to be honest, and you won’t get onboard the team anytime soon.

Besides expecting people to become proficient with the scenery editor, we want people to show good behavior and positive attitude, which so far you have failed to show, and already says about yourself.

And why do you think you deserve to be put before every one of the thousands of users who have also applied? Your life does NOT depend on it, so why rush someone who obviously has way more important things to do than waste hours of their life catering to someone who believes they are entitled to be in the IFAET? This is a team of mostly volunteers, and they could be spending their time in all sorts of other ways, but instead they’re doing something for the good of the community and for YOU.

Your response? Ignorance, and impatiency.

Something that should be put into consideration in the new system is ensuring that the users who applied are still active or even still want to do it. I know of users who were very active and excited for the team in 2022 and have since left the community. To me it doesn’t make sense to spend the time and effort to let in users who last visited over 6 months ago.

Ahem…
We have ALL been waiting, some 1 day, others 2 yrs. And we all wanna get in but everyone who adds editors into the team are people, they have OTHER things to do other than accept ungrateful, inpatient and negative people to the team.
Im also inpatient but do you see me complaining?
Be grateful for how all the editors, coders and other contributors spend their free time and time where they could be doing better things, but they spend all that good time to keep IF fresh so that all the pilots can be happy with the app.

Bro, seriously, go touch some grass 💀
Your whole life is literally not just being an IF airport editor, and like the rest of us, we are not robots. People can’t just sit here and accept applications all day. They have other stuff to attend to.
Some have been waiting for more than 2 years, and guess what? Not a single complaint.
If you are so impatient, then just quit IF and attend to other things

Chill out man
Its normal to feel impatient, but what’s the point? What are you gonna do about it? Make them faster???
Im also waiting haha cheers

No response doesn’t mean that you’ve been denied, it means that they currently don’t need people for either the region you selected, or they’re just not accepting anyone at all ATM.

You’ve probably selected a region that already has lots of editors which does not up your chances of getting in quick as far as I know. It’s kinda like you applied for a job where they aren’t currently accepting people: they’ll put you on the list of who to choose from next but there’s a good chance that it will take a long time.
You probably won’t like what I’m gonna say but: patience is key…

(yes this has been proven by loads of people who had to wait more than a year to get in.)

Here’s a reminder for everyone who has been waiting for a long time: complaining on here is not gonna make it faster. If there are any updates, you’ll hear about them. Untill then, be patient
