Hello everybody, I’m interested to strengthen and better my skills for being ATC and for the longest time have been wanting to join IFATC! I think the more practice the better. The only requirement I need is to do more operations Airport: KSAN Frequencies: Ground & Tower What should I be tested on?: Remaining in the Pattern, Transitions, Runway Change
Give me all the feedback you guys have cause I want to learn. I’m here to learn! Hope to be in IFATC soon!
Feedback from XB-NJI
Thanks for the service! First of all, I think you should start doing this at airports with parallel runways, as this is what they use on your practical test and training session, I’ve used KFAT and KLCK
Enter right downwind was not necessary after i took off for the first time, I am free to enter downwind whenever i want.
If i already know what direction traffic i should do (left or right), you do not need to say it again, in this case You told me to make left traffic on takeoff so it was unnecessary to say make left traffic after the option.
transition should have been 3000, not 3500. you planes in the pattern are flying at 1517, you need 1000 ft of separation so 2517 and then round up 500, 3000.
exit runway commands should have been earlier (around 70 knots ground speed
did great with sequencing
also M-AZZI was at 3500 so you should have told him to descend to pattern altitude
clearance and sequences could be given earlier
all in all, you did pretty good, just consider reading the atc manual :)
