Hey There Attendees,
All of you guys, with your sheer number rendered the gate system ineffective.
Due to this, We have decided to make a “Free” Gate system. This means that Pilots may spawn in with their aircraft at the stipulated time at any gate and witness the sounds of Air India callsigns over the ATC.
In conclusion, VABB will be the most busiest single runway airport on IF tomorrow evening in particular due to the fact that the one, the only AV-DAN will be streaming the flight!
If you haven’t joined yet, You may still do so at your leisure.

Hi @the_abducted_prince , event starts at 2022-09-14T13:30:00Z and lasts for 2 hours. I would recommend taking a bit of extra fuel incase you encounter some Air Traffic en-route.

I just had the worst experience with ATC. While I was on approach into Mumbai, the controller at Mumbai Radar kept telling me to go a certain heading, when my Flight Plan suggested otherwise… Just to clarify, they didn’t tell me “Disregard your FPL”. When I wouldn’t follow, they threatened to report me.
Then, they told me to go at 180 kts, but I, having flown the 787-8 before, knew that I had to keep the speed at a stable 190 kts or a tad bit more during the start of approach. But, fearing a report, I did what the controller asked, and just as I feared, the plane got extremely unstable on approach. It just wouldn’t stay level, the reason why I got misaligned with the runway. I had to spool up the engine at the last moment to gather a little speed, but still had an extremely bumpy landing with the plane bouncing of the runway upon impact.
Additionally, I landed way off the center line, even going into the grass for some time! The worst landing of mine till date 😢.
