Incorrect MAX Weights

The weights in the new update for the MAX-8 seem to be off by a lot. Even when you max out all pax, cargo and fuel, you aren’t able to utitlize the full MTOW of the aircraft; it only goes up to a 97% load. (1)

It looks like it’s caused because the in-game empty weight is nearly 20,000 pounds lighter than it should be. Which ends up completely skewing what the actual fuel burn and payload availability should be. (2)

@Alpha1Aviator, uh that would go in the Support category if you’re reporting about the Incorrect MAX Weights. Thank You

How is that not a technical issue? There’s something wrong with the MAX weight as you have said

Looks like it has the same empty weight (incorrect) and payload capacity as the NG in the game but the MTOW is increased. So the fully loaded -800 is over MTOW but the MAX is not

Ya. All the 737 variants in the sim have the same empty weight for some reason. It’s weird that the -700 and -900 weigh the same in-game, when in reality they’re not even close hence the size difference.

@Pilot_B, @Alpha1Aviator wrote that there is a weight issue in the MAX 8, and that would go in the Support category because that’s a technical issue such as weight issue, etc. Not in the General category.

Yup according to Google the MAX 8 max ZFW is 145,400 lbs, in IF it’s only 133,000 lbs

At least for the -700 and -800 you can add more freight weight to accommodate for the inaccuracy, but if you want to simulate a fully loaded -900 or max-8 that’s not an option.

Certainly an interesting finding. Same thing with the NG, never noticed till now. Boeing quotes the -800 at 91.3k pounds but in IF it barely clips 80. MAX is allegedly supposed to weigh another three tons over that.

No wonder the NG has such insane range…
