After taking the exact same flight as my friend, my flight time showed 59 minutes while his showed around 15 hours. This happens to me more often, and I’m not sure why. Does anyone have an idea what could cause this?
Can you elaborate on the situation a bit more? There are for example known issues when using AP+ that can cause the flight time to display incorrectly.
Hey there! I want to get back to this issue. Is there something in my settings, or something else that could cause my flights not to be logged correctly?
Every time, my friend gets all the XP in our group flight while I literally get zero, even though we have the exact same FP.
Check the screenshots for reference: all these flights are 12+ hours, but they log as only about an hour for me. One screenshot shows my flights and the other my friend’s, same flights, same route.
Also, I noticed it says “Unknown” for my destination. Any idea why?
AP+ has a lot of bugs with it and on top of that its glitchy - also the roughly daily crashes of the Expert Server isn’t helping things either with the replays (the cause of the “Unknown”), as well as the flight time and XP recording correctly. There’s not really much we can do until the devs are able to fix both the bugs with AutoPilot+, as well as the constant crashes of the Expert Server.
hmmm okey, thanks for your answer! I hoped there was a setting or a trick i could use to make log my flights more consistent. But i guess it’s a waiting game to fix! Are the devs aware of these specific issues tho?
Hello! I’ve actually experienced the same issue as well (for example, I once completed a 14-hour flight, only for the simulator to record less than 30 minutes of flight time). As Benny said, the developers are aware with the issue and hopefully can be fixed in the near future.
I haven’t encountered the problem recently, but I wanted to share a few tips that, in my experience, can reduce the chances of inaccurate flight-time recording. These aren’t official solutions, but I hope they can help minimize the issue:
Avoid logging in and out of your flight within a short period of time while it is running on AP+.
Avoid logging in and out too frequently during the same flight. From my experience, doing this increases the likelihood of the flight time not being documented correctly (especially with AP+).
Avoid logging in and out frequently when flying over oceans or remote areas, as there is a known bug that may corrupt replay files when flying too far from any airport (the N/A replay bug).
Try not to run more than two flights simultaneously while having another flight in the background using AP+.
Make sure to return to your flight in time (ideally at least 30 minutes before the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)).
Ensure your internet connection is stable each time you log in to your flight in AP+.
Is there a fix coming for the AP+ flight times? Mine had been working fine but just spawned back in on a flight from EGLL to KORD and my current flight time is just 0:31, which is what I flew before hitting cruise and exiting to AP+. So it’s not logging time accurately again.
Indeed, I was hosting an event with four people, and two of us (including me) of a normally 11h30 flight. While two had about 11 hours logged, me and another guy logged just under 10 hours, all landing about the same time period.
