When holding short of a runway and I tell ATC I’m ready for takeoff, what’s the difference between in sequence and standard take off?
When in-sequence you are announcing that you’re ready for takeoff but behind other planes. Standard is used when you’re first in line
Thank you very much
In the case of “In sequence”, ATC will tell you when will you depart. This is really useful when aircraft are holding short on 2 different taxiways on the same runway. Is also really useful for intersecting depatures too :)
Please go through this detailed explanation on when to use “departure in sequence”.
