I came to post this topic today as I have been having an issue with In-Flight Assistant lately that is starting to get on my nerves. Every once and a while, and I mean rarely, I will be doing a flight using In-Flight assistant and midway through the flight, the app will put the gear down. Because I tend to mainly us In-Flight assistant to step climb for me on a long flight and I am not actively monitoring my device when this happens I tend to come back to a throttle at 100% N1 and a dangerously low speed. So far this has not caused me to stall knock on wood however it is incredibly annoying.
The thing that caused me to make this post today was that this issue happened to me twice in a span of 30 minutes today and I am getting sick of it, to be honest. I also wanted to see if anything can be done to fix the issue and if others that use In-Flight Assistant have ever experienced this issue?
I don’t think it has anything to do with step climbing as I have had no problems with that in the past. In regards to aircraft, it has happened on the 737, 777, etc. I don’t remember ever aircraft it has happened on but it is a variety of them.
Have you sent a PM to @epaga ? I believe he’s the developer behind it, furthermore, he’s a very busy man, so be have patience in how long it may or may not take him to answer:)
Thanks for helping out, Jan! Yes, this almost certainly is a voice command issue, there is no other code that sends any gear commands to IF. Reinstalling may reset the Voice Commands somehow?
