Took off out of LAX in the Navy C-130 wanting some pattern work. Unfortunately, ATIS was telling me no so I made a quick flight plan to KAUS thinking I’ll have enough gas for the trip.
About 15 mins in, I spotted an F-18 making a wide right turn along my flight path. They then began following me, 10 nm at first then slowly getting closer and closer until I was able to get some pretty cool pics. Seeing their flight plan in maps, I determined they either copied mine or made their own to KAUS.
~40 mins from landing they disappeared.
