Importing flight plan

I would love to be able to add flight plans from an external website: http://onlineflightplanner.org

I think this would help when global is released. Here is one I made last night: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B20ZnYnTrQHnMUJ5OHZ0ajZQNkE/view?usp=drivesdk

The devs would have to make sure with the website owners that this is ok :-)
It would be helpful! But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, Laura could have a cool flight plan creating feature in mind.

I understand that just wanted to see what people thought about it

I may be wrong, but if you have a foreflight subscription, can’t you already import your flight plans straight from the foreflight app into IF?

Probably but I don’t have a foreflight subscription so I can’t find out

This would be an amazingly useful idea come global - if we used a commonly used format like the xplane .fms or the p3d/FSX .pln then 90% of planners would already support it

Importing flight plans is supported by the Infinite Flight Connect API. Maybe there could be a 3rd party application on PC/Mac specifically for flight planning in Infinite Flight. I’m imagining that fixes from the IF Navigation database could be plotted on a google map using their API.

You should try Live Flight Connect. It has it’s own list of FPLs that can be directly inserted into IF through the click of just one button.
