I'm gonna do long haul anything I need to know?

I’m gonna go sleep soon and I wanna do London to Singapore so do I need to know anything before doing it.

Hello again!

You don’t really need to know much besides for brining enough fuel. Remember if you have any questions, the user guide is your friend. Safe flight!

Hey!

I would always close all windows on your device and remove your case before opening IF

Taxi and take off as normal

Once at cruise I’d lower your brightness down to the minimum and try cooling off your device with a fan or put it in the fridge for 5 minutes or so

NEVER arm the VNAV it’s better to overshoot the airport than it is to get a violation

Set a timer until your TOD

That’s all pretty much

Just don’t arm VNAV until you are fully awake and ready to descend

  • Taxi with one engine to conserve fuel, start the other engine as you’re approaching the runway.
  • Consider doing step-climb for more fuel efficiency.
  • If you’re using SimBrief, choose routes that give you maximum tailwind. I suggest you research more about Coriolis wind. You can watch these videos as a start.

Or you can just look at this simple guide on what direction the wind usually blows. Between latitudes of 30° and 60°, the wind goes eastward. Other than that, it goes westward.

This guide isn’t always true, but it may serve as a general rule of thumb. Otherwise, you can always look at these websites.

Also when you are about to leave your device, turn your graphics settings to low and zoom into your chair in the cockpit view. It puts less strain on your device instead of having to load all of the scenery properly (i think).
