I'm confused about multitasking.

Before I say why I’m confused, could someone put this in the correct category? I’d appreciate it.

OK so the reason I am confused is I’m getting mixed messages. I just saw someone’s post on being able to play IF in the background and people said that’s not going to happen. Meanwhile, about a few months ago I saw something on (what I think) was Laura’s IG saying that they’re working on a system that shows ATC that you are ‘inactive’ so to speak. I could be wrong, don’t quote me on that.

Anyways. I just want to be able to clear up some confusion.

Currently you cannot multitask, to my knowledge nothing is being worked on to where you will be able to in the future.

On long flights (hopefully not on expert). People won’t be able to be on their device at all times during the flight. They may be sleeping, shopping, etc… This would be the use to show ATC that you are unavailable to respond to ATC services. Being able to play IF in the backround would mean that if you exit the app, your flight would continue in the backround, which won’t be added for various reasons.

It’s not going to happen it’s un realistic. This is a simulator not a game.
