Hey guys! So I haven’t played Infinite Flight since January or so. I’ve just been really busy with school and things. I still have my subscription, so I’d like to get back into the sim. What updates and new things have happened in the past year or so that I haven’t played?
Welcome back! Some new features:
- XCub with live cockpit
- Super Declathon removal
- A350 currently being worked on
- B777 family rework in progress
- Clouds are currently in development
- A330 soft rework
- A320 family rework, all with live cockpit but no new liveries yet
- C172 rework in progress
- TBM will be getting a live cockpit
- Progressive braking coming soon
Be sure to check the IF Development tracking thread for updates.
Anything I missed?
I would take a gander through #announcements to view all the exciting changes which have come to the simulator this year in detail. Additionally, I’d go through the ATC manual just to “freshen up” with some procedural changes (such as progressive taxi) before heading out on Live again. :)
And after the C172 will this be the next rework?
Hi, Back! My name is Will.
Glad to see you here.
Progressive braking will allow you to change the braking power of the aircraft instead of the constant power of the current braking button. Think of it like this:
You’ve just landed, and you’re using the B737. The airstrip you’ve landed on has a 9,000 foot runway. You don’t need full brakes, so you don’t apply it all the way. Now, your next landing in the B737 is on a 5100 foot runway. You will need to apply more power to the brakes.
I believe the TBM cockpit is already being worked on, but I’m not sure.
Is this officially confirmed?
A new map is coming as well!
It is a WIP by laura as per the timeline so i assume it is confirmed
Hadn’t seen it in #announcements, but if it’s on the timeline that’s a confirmation. Thank you!
Thank for making this thread. I go almost everyday on this community but there are some features I was n’t aware of.
Welcome back mate! Glad to have you back on the forums 😉
TBM cockpit is done with live cockpit I played on it Saturday at RAF Cosford
Thank you all so much! This is very useful. I’m glad to be back!
