On FR24? It’s always the most recently uploaded photo (that had the selected option to be displayed on FR24)

Yes, so hypothetical say if a photo get accepted of mine of the same reg. as one you currently have on FR24, yours will get bumped even if your’s may be more visually appealing?

Actually this is not quite true. It is the most recently taken photo. This is probably to stop people from saving old photos to get cover and/or show inaccurate liveries if something gets repainted

One question, I just bought an A7iv, but only had money for one really good lens so I got the 35mm F1.4 GM. Although I didn’t buy it for plane spotting, I’ll probably still use it for that next time I’m at an airport. Do you think it will be pretty hard to get good pics with such a short focal length? Eventually I plan to get a zoom lens but it’ll probably be a while

Yeah that’s too short unless 1. you happen to be located at an airport where the movements are right up against a spotting location or 2. you just want to take shots from directly under aircraft on final approach. The ramp shots in this topic (which I would consider “close”) are around 100mm, which on your a7iv would equate to a cropped photo around 1000 pixels in width which is not great.
