I was recently flying around Sydney (YSSY) and saw someone on ‘ILS Monitor Frequency’. Can someone shed light on what that means and what it’s used for/how to activate it?

Hello James,
That is the same as any other approach/departure feature, but that is just what the frequency is named that the controller selected.
They all do the same job and is nothing new or different from the typical approach/departure frequencies.
