The IFVARB Administrative Team is pleased to announce the OPENING of recruitment for the positions of IFVARB Reviewer and IFVARB Event Team Member. Their main job is to help in the certification and review of Virtual Airlines and Organizations and the smooth running of our event in the Infinite Flight Community.
We ask that you provide accurate and honest information. We ask that you take the application seriously and provide answers to the best of your ability. The first step for our team in reviewing the application is reviewing the time that is put into each IFVARB Member Application.
Please remember that this is not a race and to take time on your application. We will review each individually, and very likely not in the order that they come in.
- All applications must be submitted within one (1) week. Once the applications close, each application will be discussed among the VARB staff to determine which users would be the best fit for the VARB. Each application will receive a response back via the IFC.
⤥ What does an Event Team Member do? ⤦
- Their main job will be to lead IFVARB events, such as Showvase and official summits. Moreover, they will have the responsibility of organising the events with the help of the IFVARB Event Team. Please note that grade 3 is required (access to Casual, Training & Expert Server).
⤥ What does a Reviewer do? ⤦
- An IFVARB Reviewer is a key member of our Virtual Airline / Organization community. They are mentors for our VA/VO staff, guides for decisions surrounding the IFVARB and the community, and an essential part of our review process for newly applying VA/VOs in the certification process.
- During the certification process, Reviewers provide reviews of the application in several phases until the VA/VO meets the Leader’s or Admin’s approval for certification.
- On the IFVARB Discord Server, Reviewers are able to provide assistance and guidance to other staff, help with questions on the IFC, and more.

Hi, I’ve spent almost a year away from IF to focus on my own personal improvement. Having made considerable progress in that regard, I have decided to return to IF and would love to make some contribution to the community by joining your Event Team.
I have a couple of questions:
There hasn’t been much community interaction from me over the past year simply because I haven’t had much to post about, likewise with Discord. I’m by no means inexperienced, I’ve been on the IFC for just over 7 years now and have considerable VO experience. Will my recent lack of activity preclude me from joining?
Similar to the last question. I’m currently grade 2 and I’m working on getting back to grade 3. If I still haven’t achieved grade 3 by the application deadline, can my application still be considered?
I think that I can answer some questions you have (Baba can answer them in more detail later but this should help in the meantime).
For the "limited need for moderation … "
I doubt it’s due to recent activity. It’s important to have trusted candidates who respect Infinite Flight’s rules and aren’t banned. If you’ve been here that long I imagine that’s not the case and your experience speaks for itself, such dedication is what the IFVARB is looking for. As long as you have the time to take on the responsibilities of this position all is well.
For grade 3, if you have a subscription and are in the process of getting your grade back, that’s great. Grade 3 is relatively straightforward and a long haul + a few landings will suffice. Obviously it’s better to have immediate access, but if you’re grade 3 before long, it shouldn’t be a problem.
The best thing is to fill in the form properly and make sure you can handle the position. If your application is good, then you’ll probably get in!
