Yes. Some DPs for example require a high climb out that a 172( some older GA aircraft would not be able perform depending on load, density altitude just to name a few)

Although it may look complicated on the chart it’s pretty easy. Usually you will fly to a fix, vor, intercept a radial and then fly the DP, star. If you have a 430 it will pretty much hold your hand through the whole procedure. You just have to pay attention to the required alt at each segment.

Bumping my own thread with another question:
Is it nessecsry to use a transition on an arrival, i.e. would I have to overyfly LAX or SXC if I was flying the HUBRD ONE arrival?
