IFEFB infinite flight efb

Hi everyone,

I’ve been thinking about creating a companion app for Infinite Flight called IFEFB (Infinite Flight Electronic Flight Bag).

The idea is to create a tool that helps pilots simulate real airline procedures by calculating things like takeoff performance and flight planning data.

Free Version:
• N1 takeoff thrust calculator
• Aircraft selection
• Runway length, temperature, and weight inputs

Pro Version ($5):
• V1 / VR / V2 speeds
• Optimal cruise altitude
• Step climb suggestions as fuel burns
• Top of descent calculator
• Real ATIS

Future Features:
• Virtual airline SOP profiles (custom procedures for VAs)
• Shared flight briefings
• Group flight planning tools

This would be designed specifically for Infinite Flight pilots to make flights more realistic.

I’m not a developer, so I’m curious:
Would the community find something like this useful?
Also open to collaborating with developers who might be interested in building something like this.

We dont need it actually, simbrief can do that… the VR/1 speed

Simbrief could give you vspeeds sure but my app with the help of a devoleper would give you n1 percentage and maximum takeoff weight and tells you when to step climb to the next altitude and tell you the optimal staarting altitude

Exactly you have to manually input the information my app will automatically calculate for you via api and it’ll have more aircraft than just airbus McDonnell Douglas and Boeing

And it’ll have Atis and va CEO’s could put their own company sops and all the pilots using ifefb could all have access to there va in the app

Also like n1 percentage it will also tell you epr setting

I hear your concerns and they are valid why make an app when there websites that could do what I’m proposing because my app is so much more.

One feature could make IFEFB stand out a lot from the other calculator websites people mentioned: a live flight assistant mode. :airplane:

Right now most tools for Infinite Flight only give you pre-flight numbers. Once you take off, they’re basically useless.

Which is where my app comes in

Feature Idea: Live Flight Assistant

1. Live Step Climb Advisor

During cruise the app would show:

  • Current weight

  • Recommended next flight level

  • When the step climb should happen

Example:

Current: FL340

Recommended: FL360

Estimated weight: 205,000 lbs

Step climb in: 1h 20m

And This would feel like a real airline EFB tool.

2. Smart Descent Calculator

When the pilot is flying and approaching destination, the app could show:

Example:Top of Descent: 96 nm

Target descent rate: 1800 fpm

Speed: 280 knots

also Pilots in Infinite Flight constantly ask “when do I descend?”.

3. Real ATIS Integration

The app would pull weather from:

Virtual airlines could upload their procedures to the app.

Example:

  • Pushback procedure

  • climb profile

  • speed limits

  • descent procedures

This would help pilots flying in virtual airlines inside the Infinite Flight

Hey j lyk, IF API does not return the ATIS unless ATC is active

Which is why I said real world atis

Might wanna recheck that then

Tell me what do you want in a efb

I like this idea. flightSmart is nice but it doesn’t include stuff like runway length, I would definitely use this or something like this.
