Pilots, welcome to The Peninsula of Light!

We’re excited to have you join us for the Iberian Peninsula Takeover this Friday! To make sure everyone has a smooth, enjoyable experience and avoids unnecessary violations or reports, please keep the following in mind:

  • Follow ATC instructions at all times: Controllers will be working hard to keep traffic flowing safely across all six airports.
  • File your flight plan, ideally using SimBrief, and make sure to adjust your STAR altitudes to match the arrival procedure for your destination airport.
  • Check the charts for your departure and arrival airports beforehand if you’re unfamiliar with the region.
  • Need help with charts, routes, or anything else? Send me a message on Discord or here on IFC, I’ll be happy to help you get set up before the event!

Let’s make this one of the best Takeovers yet! See you in the skies over Portugal and Spain :airplane:

Big thank you to everyone who came out to fly and control during today’s Iberian Peninsula Takeover! Traffic wasn’t massive, but we had some great moments across Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Valencia, Seville and Porto, and that’s what this event was all about.

A special thanks to all the controllers who gave up their time to make this one happen, it wouldn’t have worked without you.
