I realized, while controlling for my practical (I failed), that I could’ve done a lot better if I were able to search for commands.
For example, you’d click a search bar at the top, far right, and type in a keyword, such as “correction” (Correction, stand by), "please” (Please check the user guide…), cancel takeoff clearance, and other commands that require immense scrolling and directing to get to. This wouldn’t really be useful for sequencing, clearances, etc., as all of those are at the top of the list, but it would be useful for miscellaneous commands/replies.

Yeah, it’s definitely a nice idea and I get where you’re coming from. But in practice, it’s not really that effective except maybe for beginners.
With time and regular controlling, you naturally get familiar with all the commands and where they are, so it becomes much faster without needing a search feature.
The key is consistency, try to control daily and you’ll build that muscle memory pretty quickly.

Plus, won’t be quite a good idea to search for a command when beginning to control busy airspaces. Searching for a command can take some time, delaying everything, and even reach a point where conflicts happen. Every second counts.

I personally suggest that the user interface is made so that you are able to find commands on time. Trust me, with time, it gets very much easier as it gets into your muscle memory.
