Hey Pilots and Controllers,
At 2020-07-26T20:00:00Z (2000z) a group of IFATC members will be opening all of the Canary Islands Airports.
Mainly encouraging local GA and Regional traffic, we will of course accept everyone who joins us. Listed below you can find a list of Airports that will be open along with who will be controlling there:
I hope to see you in the sky with us!

How long do y’all plan to stay open in general? I may do some Binter Canarias hops after.

At least an hour. However, some of us may stay open for longer.

Yah, just working out what and where to go now, not that often we see other parts of the canary islands open

I’m aiming for at least 1:30 at GCRR - Approach might not do 1:30 but we’ll see 😁
I will be there! I will try and fly a few patterns at every airport. A mini event I likeee it.

Dang wrong day to start a long haul smh
@Flying_Pencil if we hop between airports to fly patterns would you ghost us for airport hopping?
Lovely idea! Love flying round the canaries, but it’s sad seeing them not staffed all that often. Will be great to see some full ATC coverage in this lovely part of the world!
It’s something like this that makes me wish we had the Binter ATR even more 🙃.
But do you mean GCXO instead of GXCO :D
