Portland International Airport (IATA: PDX , ICAO: KPDX , FAA LID: PDX ) is a joint civil–military airport and the largest airport in the U.S. state of Oregon that accounts for 90% of passenger air travel and more than 95% of air cargo of the state.[3] It is within Portland’s city limits just south of the Columbia River in Multnomah County, 6 miles (10 kilometers) by air and 12 mi (19 km) by highway northeast of downtown Portland. In 2013 travel + leisure magazine rated KPDX as the best airport in the US based on its on-time record, shopping, dining and mass transportation in the main parts of the city. It held the record for 6 years running until this year where it came 2nd
