In this week’s ATC at home, we will open our hometown airports. Specifically WIII (Jakarta), WADD (Denpasar) and WIMM (Medan) so you can expect us to be active in these 3 airports.

Brief Information

Soekarno Hatta or Jakarta International airport is located 20km west of Jakarta city centre in Cengkareng, Indonesia. It has been named after the first president (Soekarno) and first vice-president (Mohammed Hatta) of Indonesia. The airport is located 10m above sea level and spans 1,800ha. It is owned and operated by state-owned Angkasapura II.

The airport handled more than 43 million passengers and 338,711 aircraft movements in 2010. By 2017, it is estimated to handle more than 75 million passengers a year.

06/24 [UNAVAILABLE] 8,202 2,500 Asphalt Concrete Currently not available in Infinite Flight as this runway just opened several months ago. It’s used for narrowbody departures from Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

  • BUNI2- is used by arrivals from Southeast Asia (Except the Philippines and Vietnam) and International arrivals from the west [Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Doha, Dubai, Amsterdam, Abu Dhabi]
  • AMBO2- is used by arrivals from East Asia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and International arrivals from the east [Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Guangzhou, Beijing, Manila, Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Shanghai, Osaka]

Untitled WADD - Denpasar Ngurah Rai Untitled

Brief Information

Ngurah Rai International Airport, the only airport in Bali, is located 13km from Denpasar. It is also known as Denpasar or Bali International Airport and is managed by state-owned company PT (Persero) Angkasa Pura I. The airport is spread over an area of 295.6ha and serves about 12 million passengers per year. Located 2.5km away from the resort of Kuta, it is the third-busiest international airport in Indonesia.

It was originally built in 1931 in the village of Tuban. The airport earned International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) recognition in 1963 and a new international terminal building and runway extension to 2,700m were completed in 1969.

Brief Information

Kualanamu International Airport is an international airport serving Medan, Indonesia. It is located in Deli Serdang regency, 23 km east of downtown Medan. Kualanamu is the third largest airport (after Jakarta Soekarno–Hatta and the new Bandung Kertajati) and the fifth busiest airport in Indonesia in 2017.
