IFATC At Home - Dublin, Ireland

Hello!

I hope everyone’s doing very well and healthy.
First of all, I know I already have a topic, but unfortunately I am not able to edit it anymore, so here’s a slightly better one:)
Let me introduce myself:
My name is Rian, I come from Ireland and I live in The Netherlands. My favourite airlines would be Aer Lingus or Ryanair. Check out my profile for more :^)

Anyways, let’s dive into the details.

Dublin Aiport - EIDW
Time: 2020-06-21T10:30:00Z

dublin-terminal-2

So, Dublin Airport.

First off, some general facts:

  • Opened on January 19th, 1940
  • Hub for Aer Lingus, and Ryanair
  • Handled 32,907,673 passengers in 2019.

Information

Dublin Airport has two runways:
Runway 10/28 Runway 16/34

Runway Length Surface Magnetic HDG ILS Equipped
10/28 8,652ft / 2,637m Asphalt 101°, 281° 10 and 28 YES
16/34 6,798ft / 2,072m Asphalt 162°, 342° 16 YES

IMPORTANT INFO

Runway 16/34 is rarely in use in real life; expect the rwy not to be in use

As you can see above, rwy 16/34 will probably not be used, unless the winds are very strong. I will notify you as we get closer to the date.If it isn’t in use, the runway can be used as a taxiway.
When taking off from runway 28, you do not have to request a runway crossing if you are coming from the taxiways that are in the big red circle.
When taxiing to rwy 10, make sure to taxi via taxiway H1 and H2, as highlighted in this chart:

Ah now we all know this will happen I’ll instruct aircraft to taxi to 10/28 and then there’s also that violation button in case things get out of hand;)

I am just joking I would never do that
